Oman Coast Ship Attack : ਓਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਤੱਟ ਨੇੜੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਝੰਡੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਲਵਾਹਕ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ 13 ਹੋਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ। ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਬੰਦਰਗਾਹ, ਜਹਾਜ਼ਰਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਲ ਮਾਰਗ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਸਰਬਾਨੰਦ ਸੋਨੋਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਓਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਤੱਟ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ‘ਤੇ 14 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮਲਾਹ ਸਵਾਰ ਸਨ।

Ministry of External Affairs issues statement on attack on a commercial vessel off the coast of Oman

“We condemn the attack on a commercial vessel MSV AL JUSUFI, near Limah, Oman yesterday evening. Of the 14 Indian nationals on board, 13 have been rescued while 1 Indian national tragically lost his life after sustaining injuries. We convey our deepest condolences on the precious life lost. Our Embassy in Oman is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with the Omani authorities for the early repatriation of the rescued Indian nationals and the mortal remains of the deceased.

The continuing incidents of attacks on commercial shipping in the region are deeply concerning. We reiterate our call for immediate de-escalation of tensions, and the conclusion of ongoing negotiations for a diplomatic solution so that peace and stability can return to the region. The targeting of commercial shipping and civilian infrastructure in the region must end, and free and unimpeded navigation and commerce through the international waterways in the region, in keeping with international law, must be restored at the earliest.”— ANI (@ANI) November 3, 2026

ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਮਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੰਧਾਰ ਨਹੀਮ ਅਜ਼ੀਜ਼ ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸੋਨੋਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ‘ਐਕਸ’ (X) ‘ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੋਸਟ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ‘ਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਦਰਦੀ ਜਤਾਈ। ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੰਤਰਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਓਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਦੂਤਾਵਾਸ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ 13 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਮਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
